Glasgow Commonwealth Games preparing for Usain Bolt appearance

Jamaican sprint king Usain Bolt begins his Glasgow campaign this evening as he looks to add a Commonwealth Games medal to his Olympic and World Championship haul.

Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt will begin his 2014 Commonwealth Games campaign this evening.

The world's fastest man will run for Jamaica in the 4x100m relay heats at Hampden Park from 9.10pm.

Reports earlier this week claimed that Bolt had ridiculed the Games, but the 27-year-old and his camp have rubbished this as "nonsense" and insisted that he is enjoying his Glasgow experience.

Bolt has completed the sprint treble of 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the last two Olympics and holds the world record times for all three of those events.

He has also won eight golds at the World Championships, but does not have a Commonwealth medal.
