Usain Bolt to shift focus to 200m

Olympic champion Usain Bolt reveals that he is planning to shift his focus towards the 200m rather than the 100m in future competitions.

Olympic champion Usain Bolt has revealed that he may switch his main focus from the 100m to the 200m in future competitions.

The 27-year-old has won the two events at the past two Olympic Games and holds the world record at both distances, but he feels that he can improve his performances in the 200m.

"I think I've done enough in the 100m," he told BBC Sport.

"I know people want to see me run fast in the 100m but I love my 200m and I want to do something special for myself. So for me, my main aim is the 200m."

Bolt didn't compete in the individual 100m and 200m at the Commonwealth Games, but did win gold as part of Jamaica's 4x100m relay team.
