Jess Judd "so disappointed" with fourth-place finish in 800m final

Judd "so disappointed" with fourth

Team England's Jess Judd has admitted that she is "so disappointed" with her fourth-place finish in the final of the 800m at the Commonwealth Games this evening.

The 19-year-old was edged out on the home straight by her competitors to finish just outside the medal places at Hampden Park.

She was noticeably upset after the race and admitted that she was devastated at having missed out on a podium finish, but insists that she "gave it everything" she had.

"Whatever was going to happen today, I was going to cry. It's been really stressful and really tiring," she told Sports Mole.

"I'm just so so disappointed that I've come out of it without a medal but I tried my hardest and that's all I can do. Tactically it was perfect and I put myself in a really good position but I'm just absolutely knackered.

"I couldn't have done any more and I'm so disappointed but I gave it everything."

Meanwhile, Judd's compatriot Jennifer Meadows finished in seventh place, while Eunice Sum of Kenya claimed gold.
