Colts fight back to beat Titans

Indianapolis Colts have extended their lead over the Tennessee Titans to three games at the top of the AFC South with a 30-27 comeback victory at LP Field.

The Titans led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter thanks to two touchdowns from Chris Johnson, but Adam Vinatieri got the Colts on the board from 48 yards early in the second.

A 25-yard kick from Rob Bironas wiped that out, but Vinatieri reduced the deficit once more after Derrick Morgan sacked Andrew Luck with less than a minute before half time.

Donald Brown's six-yard rush ate further into the gap after the break, and the turnaround was complete when Andrew Luck faked a pass and charged into the endzone.

Vinatieri made it 16 unanswered points with a field goal from 50 yards as the Titans' defence descended into shambles, but Bironas made it a three-point game early in the fourth.

Brown gave the Colts some breathing space when he powered home from 11 yards with three minutes remaining, but they were punished for slack defence when Ryan Fitzpatrick threw to Delanie Walker, and he then skipped over the line.

With no timeouts remaining, the Titans tried a near-side kick but Pat Angerer managed to smother the ball, allowing Luck to take a knee and improve his team's record to 6-3.
