Tennessee Titans to create opportunities for Marcus Mariota to run the ball

Titans plan for Mariota running game

Tennessee Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt has revealed that he plans to make use of quarterback's Marcus Mariota's running game.

The 21-year-old scored 15 touchdowns for college side the Oregon Ducks last season, and Whisenhunt has compared him to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Whisenhunt told The Tennessean: "There will be [designed] opportunities, but there will also be a lot of opportunities, just like with Russell Wilson, when the play breaks down and he runs with the ball and extends the play."

Mariota was the second pick in the NFL Draft last month.
