Darrelle Revis anticipating DeSean Jackson "battle"

Revis anticipating Jackson "battle"

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis has refused to get into a war of words with Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson.

Jackson claimed yesterday that Revis would not be able to keep up with him when the Buccaneers face the Eagles on Sunday, a statement that Revis did not dispute when asked for his reaction.

The duo have come up against each other once before when Revis limited Jackson to just two catches for 28 yards in 2011, and the four-time Pro Bowler is looking forward to another "battle" against the Philadelphia receiver.

"No. He's fast. Fast people are allowed to say those type of things. I've covered him before in the past, and it was a good battle then and we'll see what happens this time around," Revis told reporters.

"I'm not in here to discuss who's the fastest. I'm not running for the Olympics or anything like that, and he's not either. I'm here to compete and play.

"It's a match-up every week, whoever I'm covering or the best receiver, and he is their best receiver. We'll see. It's going to be a battle and he's a great player. We'll see."

The Buccaneers are still looking for their first win of the season, while the Eagles have a 2-3 record after five matches.
