CJ Wilson involved in fireworks accident in Independence Day celebrations

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reveal that CJ Wilson hurt his hand in a fireworks incident on Independence Day.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback CJ Wilson suffered a hand injury in last week's Independence Day celebrations.

The 25-year-old was involved in an incident with fireworks, and the team said they are focusing on his "long-term health".

They said in a statement: "We are aware that CJ was involved in an accident that occurred over the July 4 holiday.

"It is our understanding that the injury occurred to one of his hands and our primary concern at this moment is for his long-term health. We have been in contact with CJ and are continuing to monitor the situation."

Wilson started twice last season.
