Seattle Seahawks beat St Louis Rams to clinch NFC top seed

The Seattle Seahawks secure the number one seed after beating the St Louis Rams 27-9.

The Seattle Seahawks have secured a 27-9 win against St Louis Rams to secure the NFC top seeding.

The Hawks went in front in the first quarter when Malcolm Smith completed an impressive 37-yard interception return, putting Seattle 7-0 up.

Steven Hauschka then notched an impressive field goal from 28 yards out to push the score to 10-0.

Seattle's premier kicker was on hand again minutes later to kick from 35 yards and leave the score at 13-0 going into half time.

Greg Zuerlein kicked well to give the Rams their first points of the match, but two further Seattle touchdowns from Marshawn Lynch and Golden Tate made it a comfortable win, despite Jared Cook's late touchdown.
