St Louis Rams' Todd Gurley ruled out of opening game

St Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley has been ruled out of their opening fixture against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The first-round pick has been recovering from an ACL tear suffered back in November and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters that Gurley is 'not going to play this week'.

The Rams have not specified a date that the 21-year-old might return for, but Fisher admitted that he could see limited action before the team's bye in week six.

The former Georgia Bulldog ran for 3,286 yards and 36 touchdowns in his three-year collegiate career.
