Anthony McCoy undergoes Achilles surgery

Seattle Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy is expected to miss six to nine months after partially tearing his Achilles.

Anthony McCoy has undergone surgery to repair a partially-torn Achilles tendon, having sustained the injury during a Seattle Seahawks team activity.

NFL.com reports that the tight end suffered the injury on Monday last week, before undergoing surgery at the end of the week.

The Seahawks expect McCoy to miss six to nine months while recovering from the injury.

The 25-year-old had 291 receiving yards in 2012 and scored three touchdowns.
