Report: Lane has torn ACL

Seattle Seahawks star cornerback Jeremy Lane sustained a torn ACL during the Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots earlier this month, according to reports.

Lane left the game with a compound wrist fracture after claiming an interception in the first quarter, and the injury ended his participation in Super Bowl XLIX.

While general manager John Schneider revealed on Thursday that Lane had also suffered a knee injury on that play, reports suggest that it is a torn ACL.

The 24-year-old has recorded 53 tackles, six interceptions and forced a fumble in his three seasons in Seattle as part of the defensive unit.

It is reported that the injury will likely keep him sidelined until September, which puts his availability for the start of the new season in doubt.
