Harbaugh: 'Ward not fit until camp'

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has admitted that the 30th overall Draft pick Jimmie Ward will not be able to take part in team reps until the beginning of training camp in July.

Harbaugh said that Ward, who was expected to be able to play some part in the organised team activities, was currently only doing light work but should recover in around a month's time.

"Right now, [he is] just in the walk-through type of sessions," Harbaugh told CSNbayarea.com. "But he is scheduled to be healthy for training camp."

After being drafted, Ward said that it was a "blessing" to be able to play for the 49ers.
