Philip Rivers: 'I don't need to be fixed'

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers says that talk of him needing to be fixed has got to him this off-season.

Philip Rivers has said that suggestions that he needs to be fixed have annoyed him during the off-season.

The San Diego Chargers quarterback had his lowest number of passing yards since 2007 last season as the team missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season.

The 31-year-old told the Los Angeles Times: "The thing that's gotten to me this off-season is, 'Who's going to fix Philip?' That phrase, I almost laugh it off. That drives me nuts, really.

"There's no question I'm responsible for some of the plays and some of the games we haven't won. I'm not going to shy away from that. But we can go sit in there and watch a lot of tape from last year, and I'll ask you, 'What do you want to fix?' It's just about eliminating some of the bad plays."

The Chargers face the San Francisco 49ers this evening.
