Pouncey, Foote ruled out for season

Pittsburgh Steelers duo Maurkice Pouncey and Larry Foote have been ruled out for the rest of the season having picked up injuries in yesterday's defeat to the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.

Pouncey was carted off the field with a torn ACL and MCL during his side's opening possession after teammate David DeCastro fell on his leg during a running play.

The three-time Pro Bowler was joined on the sidelines by inside linebacker Larry Foote later in the match when he sustained a ruptured biceps.

When asked whether the injuries would rule the pair out for the rest of the season, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters: "I would assume so but that's an assumption at this point."

The Steelers were unable to score a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late as they fell to a 16-9 defeat.
