DeSean Jackson: 'Outburst was down to frustration'

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson reveals that his outburst towards quarterback Nick Foles was prompted by frustration at his side's performance.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has revealed that his outburst during his side's 48-30 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings yesterday was down to frustration.

Jackson was unhappy with quarterback Nick Foles after an intercepted throw that Jackson believes should have been given to him earlier.

The 27-year-old refused to chase back after the ball was picked off and continued his tirade on the sidelines, with teammates and a member of the coaching staff being forced to hold him back.

"Frustration. It's part of the game. I feel like I was open. I guess Nick wasn't able to see me right away. It took a little bit for the ball to get there," Jackson told reporters after the game.

"We had a lot riding on this game today. In my eyes, I know how big of a game this was. That's why I was trying to do everything I can to win this game. There was a little bit of frustration here and there on the field."

Despite the defeat, the Eagles remain top of the NFC East, one win ahead of the Dallas Cowboys with two games left to play.
