Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis insists he wants to reject Los Angeles move

Raiders owner keen to stay in Oakland

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis has told supporters that he is trying to keep the team based in Oakland.

The franchise announced that they could share a stadium with the San Diego Chargers in LA, but Davis told protesters that he intends to stay in the city.

According to The AP, he said: "I'm trying all I can do to keep this team in Oakland, OK? I don't know what to do, I really don't know.

"We're trying. I'm not trying to divide any fan base. Every time I talk to anybody, I'm trying to stay in Oakland. That's my number one choice, but we can't do this forever. I really appreciate you all, I really do."

The Raiders won just three games last season.
