Oakland lead Washington at the break

Oakland Raiders head into half time with a 10-14 lead over the Washington Redskins in their NFL clash.

They took the lead in the 10th minute when Sav Rocca notched up the first touchdown of the day, making a recovery after his punt was blocked.

The Raiders extended their advantage with just over three minutes of the quarter remaining when Matt Flynn found Mychal Rivera for an 18-yard touchdown down the middle.

Washington fought back in the second quarter, reducing the deficit with a 25-yard field goal from John Potter, before David Amerson intercepted a pass by Flynn and recorded their first touchdown.
