Ryan: 'Jets not looking to trade Revis'

Rex Ryan has denied that the New York Jets are trying to trade Darrelle Revis ahead of the 2013 NFL season.

There has been speculation throughout the off-season that the AFC East side have been looking to offload the cornerback.

The team's head coach told reporters: "When the first trade thing came up, I thought it was somebody clearly made it up, had no factual basis. And that's what I was saying.

"I just thought it was very interesting the first day John Idzik is named GM, doesn't even know where his office is, all of a sudden we're trying to trade Darrelle Revis.

"Obviously, there are going to be several people that are going to be interested in your good players, whether it's Revis or anybody else. There's always that."

Revis, who is still undergoing rehab after tearing a knee ligament during the 2012 season, has been linked to moves to the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
