It has been reported that Darrelle Revis is "not optimistic" that the New York Jets will finalise a trade deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the start of the 2013 NFL season.
The cornerback, who is recovering from a knee ligament injury, has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Jets during the off-season.
The Buccaneers interest in Revis is said to have stalled as they are unwilling to give up their first-round draft pick to the Jets.
However, NFL.com reports that the Jets are unlikely to meet the 27-year-old's contract demands, which could see him leave the team as a free agent next year.
