Braylon Edwards has said that he expects to play in the New York Jets' game against the Tennessee Titans on Monday.
The wide receiver rejoined the Jets on Tuesday after being released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this month, despite calling the Jets' coaching staff "idiots" on Twitter last week.
The 29-year-old told the New York Daily News: "I definitely think I'll have a high probability of a chance of going on Monday night.
"I really thought that there was no way that the Jets were interested. After the tweet, it was like, 'Yeah, I burned that bridge'.
"I didn't have to apologise, but I chose to. It was a statement that was made at the heat of the moment."
Edwards spent two years at the Jets before stints at the San Francisco 49ers and the Seahawks.
