Butler had "vision" of interception

New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler has said that he had a "vision" of making a crucial contribution after his interception helped his side to win Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks.

Trailing by four points, the Seahawks were just a couple of metres away from the Patriots' endzone before Russell Wilson's pass was intercepted by Butler with just seconds left in the match.

Afterwards, Butler told reporters: "I just had a vision that I was going to make a big play, and it came through. I'm just blessed that.

"First of all I just knew that we had preparation. It all came to preparation and I just knew that I had a big one coming on. It was just a case of winning that play."

Butler was playing in his first Super Bowl.
