Report: Vince Wilfork tears Achilles

Vince Wilfork sustained an Achilles tear during the New England Patriots' 30-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons, according to a report.

The defensive tackle limped out of the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury and was unable to return.

The Boston Globe reports that the 31-year-old tore the tendon in his right foot and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Wilfork has made nine tackles so far this year.
