Brady fined for Reed kick

The NFL has fined Tom Brady for his kick on Ed Reed in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

The New England Patriots quarterback stretched his leg out while sliding, making contact with the Baltimore Ravens safety's thigh.

NFL.com reports that the 35-year-old has been fined $10,000 (£6,300) for the incident, which did not draw a flag from the game officials at the time.

Brady has since apologised to Reed for the kick.

The Ravens went on to beat the Patriots and will face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl next month.
