Rick Spielman wants Adrian Peterson back with Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has insisted that he wants to see running back Adrian Peterson return to the franchise for next season.

Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer visited Peterson at his home earlier this month, and he has once again made his intentions clear on the former NFL MVP's future.

"Adrian is under contract and a member of our football team," Spielman told The Star Tribune.

"We've stated that, our owner has stated it, our head coach has stated it. There is no question that we want Adrian Peterson back on our football team."

According to speculation though, the Vikings would be willing to trade the NFL's highest paid running back if a significant offer arrived.
