Adrian Peterson: 'Current Minnesota Vikings offense is best I've played in'

Peterson: 'This is the best offense I've played in'

Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson has stated that the team's current setup is the best that he has been involved with.

For a number of years, Peterson's ground game has been the total scale of the Vikings' offensive unit, but the 29-year-old has insisted that that has now changed.

New head coach Norv Turner and offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave have reworked the entire unit, leading to Peterson to express his happiness.

The running back told The Star Tribune: "I've been watching the offense the last few games, and it's like, 'Man, they don't even need me.'

"Teams are going to have to play more honest. If they do stack the box, we'll beat them with the passing game now.

"This is going to be the best offense I've played in - it's what I've been waiting for. We've got the pieces to facilitate moving the ball around."

As well as Peterson, the Vikings boast the likes of Cordarelle Patterson, Greg Jennings and Kyle Rudolph as options in their pass attack.
