Matt Cassel to start against Pittsburgh Steelers

The Minnesota Vikings have confirmed that Matt Cassel will be their starting quarterback for this weekend's game at Wembley Stadium.

Regular starter Christian Ponder has been struggling with a rib injury all week, preventing him from taking the field to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in London on Sunday.

Cassel, who played nine games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season, joined the Vikings as a free agent earlier this year.

The NFC North side are still looking for their first win of the 2013 season.
