Jared Allen: 'No hard feelings over trade talks'

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen insists that he has "zero animosity" towards the team for attempting to trade him before Tuesday's deadline.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has insisted that he has "zero animosity" towards the team after they attempted to trade him before yesterday's deadline.

The Vikings are understood to have had talks with a number of teams over a potential move for the five-time Pro Bowler, but no deal could be finalised in time for Tuesday afternoon.

However, despite his services being offered elsewhere, Allen insists that he has no hard feelings towards coach Leslie Frazier, general manager Rick Spielman or assistant general manager Rob Brzezinski.

"I have a great relationship with Rick and Rob and Coach Frazier and [assistant GM] George [Paton] and everybody here," Allen told reporters.

"So, there's zero animosity, zero anything. But just like with all the trade rumours weeks and weeks ago, I don't even deal with it until it comes."

The Vikings have won just one of their seven matches so far this season and face a trip to take on the Dallas Cowboys in their next match.
