Jake Long out with torn triceps

Jake Long's season is over after he tore his triceps, it has been confirmed.

The Miami Dolphins left tackle sustained the injury in the first quarter of their game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Wide receiver Brian Hartline told reporters: "Jake will be very missed. He's one of our leaders, a staple on our offensive line."

Long is in the last season of his current contract with the Dolphins.

The 27-year-old has been voted into the Pro Bowl every year since being drafted.
