Andy Reid still "loves" Philadelphia

Former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid says that he is still very much a fan of both the city and his old team.

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has admitted that he is still fond of the city of Philadelphia, and particularly his former team the Eagles and their fans.

Reid was in charge of the Eagles between 1999-2012, leading the team to the Super Bowl in 2004, and has said that he still has a home in the city and spends a lot of time there.

In an interview with NBC, Reid said: "The fanbase there is great. They care about people. The organization is great. For me, it's important that the fans know how much I love Philadelphia. I still have a home there and I wish nothing but the best for the city.

"Now the Eagles have that opportunity to rebuild. For Chip Kelly they need to give him that chance. The city of Philadelphia should give him that. Give him a couple years to build that thing and get it back ferocious again."

Reid's Chiefs and Kelly's Eagles both crashed out of the NFL playoffs during the wildcard weekend round, to the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints respectively.
