Jeff Allen to miss season after undergoing surgery to repair bicep tendon

Offensive tackle Jeff Allen is to miss the rest of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs as he is placed on IR and undergoes surgery to repair a bicep tendon in his elbow.

The Kansas City Chiefs have received another offensive blow following news that Jeff Allen has been placed on the injured reserve list.

The left guard has been standing in for the missing Donald Stephenson, who is currently serving a four-game ban, but has recently found it difficult in a rather dejected offensive line.

Allen will now miss the rest of the season having been placed on IR, with the player due to undergo surgery to repair a bicep tendon in his elbow.

It is expected that the Chiefs will look to the experienced Ryan Harris to step into Allen's role until Stephenson returns.
