Half-Time Report: Kansas City Chiefs shut out Denver Broncos in first half

Chiefs shut out Broncos in first half

The Kansas City Chiefs picked off Peyton Manning three times in the first half as they lead the Denver Broncos 19-0 at half time.

Manning gave up the football on the Broncos' first possession of the game as Marcus Peters collected his fourth interception of the year, and the Chiefs made them pay as Charcandrick West ploughed into the endzone for the opening touchdown.

The Denver quarterback would create history on his next passing play as the reception helped him pass Brett Favre as the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards with 71,838 yards.

The Chiefs continued to rain on the Denver quarterback's parade as they put up three points on the next drive as Cairo Santos split the uprights with a 48-yard field goal.

Kansas City picked off Manning again as Sean Smith caught the ball, but their offense failed to capitalise and Santos was required to make another field goal.

Josh Mauga made it three interceptions in a half by Manning before Santos stuck another three points on the score with a 34-yard attempt.

Santos hit his fourth field goal of the day just before the break as the Broncos amassed just 40 total yards on offense in the first half.
