McCarthy confident with Packers offense

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has insisted that his offense is good enough to get to the Super Bowl, despite defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs.

McCarthy believes that his side's running game is as good as any other side, and that with the best quarterback in the league in his opinion the Packers fell short of his expectations.

"I can't believe you asked me [if the offense is good enough]," he told reporters. "You guys got on me about running the ball forever. We run it as good as anybody in the league. We've got the best quarterback in football.

"I felt that this was going to be the best offense that we've ever had here. I thought we were going to go past 2011. When we came out of the Minnesota game, I thought we really, really hit our stride.

"I'll put our offense up against anybody's. We'll play anywhere; cold, hot, rain, snow. We're built the right way is my answer."

The Packers lost in the divisional playoffs last season.
