Detroit Lions agree new four-year deal with DeAndre Levy

The Detroit Lions announce that they have agreed a new four-year deal with DeAndre Levy.

Linebacker DeAndre Levy has signed a new four-year deal with the Detroit Lions.

The 28-year-old has been with the team since 2009, and has started every Lions game in the last two seasons.

Reports had suggested that he has been in talks over a new contract since the end of the 2014 campaign, and it has now been confirmed.

NFL Media claims that Levy will have been given a pay rise of approximately £2.5m.

The Lions start the new season away at the San Diego Chargers.
