Defensive pair join Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions have completed the signings of defensive tackles John Drew and Justin Bannan.

In an area the Lions were short on depth, they have now brought in experience in Bannan and potential in Drew.

Bannan, 34, spent last season with the Denver Broncos and managed 42 tackles in the 15 games that he started.

Drew is an undrafted free agent from North Carolina Central, and will need to perform in order to make the 53-man roster.
