Peyton Manning tops Pro Bowl vote

Peyton Manning has received the most votes from the public for this year's Pro Bowl.

The Denver Broncos quarterback received 993,045 votes, finishing just ahead of New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.

Aaron Rodgers and Robert Griffin III topped the quarterback votes for the NFC.

Arian Foster was the fans' favourite running back, beating Adrian Peterson by fewer than 1,500 votes.

AJ Green and Victor Cruz topped the wide receivers votes, while Tony Gonzalez and Rob Gronkowski were the most popular tight ends.

The players and coaches of the NFL will add their votes before the final AFC and NFC all-star squads are named on December 26.

The Pro Bowl takes place annually the week before Super Bowl.
