Lilja ends retirement to join Broncos

Ryan Lilja has come out of retirement to sign a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos.

The 31-year-old will join the AFC West champions following injuries to centres Dan Koppen and JD Walton.

The centre previously played with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for six seasons when they were both with the Indianapolis Colts.

Lilja announced his retirement in December following three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
