Agent: 'Josh Gordon hearing due soon'

The agent of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon reveals that the hearing into his suspension will take place in the "near future".

Josh Gordon's agent has revealed that the hearing into the wide receiver's suspension is due to take place in the "near future".

The Cleveland Browns wideout is facing a one-year suspension from the NFL after being found to have breached the league's substance-abuse policy.

Drew Rosenhaus told the Cleveland Plain Dealer: "Let's just say [the hearing is] some point in the near future. I'm not permitted to divulge [the specific date].

"I really don't have anything to add about Josh's situation. Right now that's a league matter and as everyone knows he's got an appeal coming up and I really won't have anything to say about it until afterwards."

Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013.
