The Chicago Bears have confirmed that Turk McBride will miss the 2013 NFL season after rupturing his Achilles tendon during training camp.
The defensive end, who joined the NFC North side on a one-year contract in March, was carted off the field during yesterday's practice.
The 28-year-old previously had stints with the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs.
McBride made six tackles in seven games for the Saints last season.
