Chicago Bears terminate Johnny Knox's contract

The Chicago Bears have terminated Johnny Knox's contract after four years with the side.

The wide receiver missed the entire 2012 season, having sustained a back injury in December 2011.

Knox's agent has told the Chicago Sun-Times that the 26-year-old is ready to play in the 2013 NFL season.

Know was the Bears' leading receiver in the 2010 season, receiving for 960 yards and five touchdowns.
