Captain Munnerlyn: 'Carolina Panthers have strong spirit'

Captain Munnerlyn is pleased with the way his side responded to going 0-2 at the start of the season.

Carolina Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn has praised the side's spirit to go from 0-2 early in the season to 7-3 with their win over New England Patriots on Monday night.

Munnerlyn said that the Panthers have the mentality that they can continue to build on victories and use the experience to help them in the next game.

"A letdown? It ain't possible," Munnerlyn told the club's official website. "Not in this locker room. We've been through it all. We started 0-2, people writing us off. There is no letdown.

"If we lose focus on the next game being the biggest game and then screw it up and lose, what you did the previous weeks no longer matters.

"We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, and we don't want to look back. We want to look right where we are."

The Panthers travel to the Miami Dolphins at the weekend.
