Jonathan Stewart confident he'll start against Green Bay Packers

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart eyes a return to action against the Green Bay Packers this weekend.

Carolina Panthers star Jonathan Stewart has insisted that he will be ready to play against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.

Stewart sustained a sprained knee in the week three loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers but he has been back in full practice this week, according to the Charlotte Observer.

"Jonathan looked good. He had a good day. We'll see how he is [Thursday], but he took the majority of the reps. He took all the reps that were slated for him as well," coach Ron Rivera told reporters.

"I'm excited to see him on the football field and hopefully there's no residual and he'll be ready to roll again at practice."

Stewart averaged just 3.0 yards per carry prior to the injury, although he was among the league leaders in forced missed tackles.
