Bill Polian not joining Buffalo Bills

Bill Polian informs Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula that he wishes to remain in his current role as an ESPN analyst.

ESPN NFL analyst Bill Polian has informed Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula that he will remain in his current job and turn down the opportunity to join the franchise.

Pegula had reached out to Polian in a bid to persuade him to join in an advisory capacity with interest in him heading the team's front office.

However, Polian ultimately decided that he is content with his current role and Pegula is understood to have accepted his decision.

Polian's announcement comes a day after Doug Marrone exercised the opt-out clause in his contract, which leaves the franchise looking for a new head coach.

Marrone has interviews lined up with the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and the Chicago Bears, according to the New York Post.
