Percy Harvin optimistic of a bigger role at Buffalo Bills

Harvin keen to kick on this season

New Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin has revealed that his relationship with coach Sanjay Lal played a big part in his decision to join the team.

The 27-year-old left the New York Jets after just one season to move to the Bills, where he wants to play a bigger role than he has had before.

He told the Bills' official site: "Aside from the first two years I got in the league, I've been just a gadget guy. I've been dying to just sit down with that one coach who will tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do.

"I fell in love with Sanjay [Lal] as a coach. His ability to get me to process things so quickly. Going into the second or third game, I felt like I had been playing outside for years. That was all a part of my big decision to come here."

Harvin scored one touchdown last season.
