The Buffalo Bills have released punter Shawn Powell following their 37-24 defeat to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday.
Browns' punt returner Travis Benjamin was able to set a new franchise record after returning Powell's punts for 179 yards and a touchdown.
The 24-year-old joined the AFC East side midway through the 2012 season, replacing Brian Moorman.
The Bills have eight days before their next game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
