Osi Umenyiora joins Atlanta Falcons

Veteran defensive end Osi Umenyiora has signed a two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, the team has confirmed.

According to NFL.com the contract is worth £5.6m, including £3.3m in the first season.

The two-time Super Bowl champion, who lives in Atlanta, had previously made it clear that the Falcons were his first-choice after leaving the New York Giants.

Umenyiora has totalled 261 tackles and 75 sacks in his career so far.
