Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that there have been no offers for his players from the Chinese Super League.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he has received no offers for his players from the Chinese Super League this month.

The developing league has brought in a number of big-name players this transfer window with huge wage offers, with Carlos Tevez becoming the world's highest-paid footballer after completing a move to Shanghai Shenhua on a weekly pay packet of £615,000.

Reports last week had suggested that Chinese clubs were prepared to smash that figure with a wage offer of £800,000 a week for a top English player, with Spurs duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli thought to be top of the wishlist.

A potential offer of £570,000 a week is thought to be behind Diego Costa's unsettled situation at Chelsea, but Pochettino admitted that he is relieved not to have encountered a similar situation.

"Have there been any offers from China for my players? No," he told The Guardian. "My reaction to the Costa story was indifference because, luckily, it is not my problem. What can you do when an offer like this arrives from a country that is like this? It's crazy money. It looks like they broke the market. If the offer to Costa is true, it's unbelievable, unbelievable. But we will see what happens.

"We are together, every player is happy and part of our Tottenham family, and we have a very good atmosphere around the club.

"Our supporters are amazing and there is a very good mix between the supporters, the players and the staff. It's amazing, day by day, how we feel and how we live at the training ground – that is an important thing, in the end, to try to win big things. It's an advantage for us."

Spurs are now up to second in the Premier League table, seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
