Ibrahimovic: 'World will know when I'm back'

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has promised to make a big impact when he returns to full fitness.

The former Sweden international has been working on recovery from a serious knee injury since he suffered the problem in April.

The blow forced United to opt against triggering a one-year extension to the striker's existing deal, but after learning that the 35-year-old could still play a part this season, a new contract was offered in August.

It is unclear when Ibrahimovic will grace the pitch again, but manager Jose Mourinho did include the ex-Barcelona star in his squad for the Champions League group stages.

According to the Manchester Evening News, when asked for an update at a promotional event in the Torslanda Volvo factory, Ibrahimovic said: "The knee is almost there. I want everybody to have patience, and when I come back, the world will know."

The striker, who scored 28 goals in all competitions last season, will wear the number 10 shirt after his nine jersey was taken by Romelu Lukaku.
