Wrestling semi-final repeated after suspensions

One of the semi-finals in the men's freestyle 57kg wrestling event at the European Games has had to be repeated after both athletes were suspended for "brutality during the match".

Belarus's Uladzislau Andreyeu and Olympic silver medallist Vladimer Khinchegashvili of Georgia were both disqualified during their bout, and have been suspended for the rest of the tournament in accordance with United World Wrestling's laws.

Germany's Marcel Ewald and Islam Islamaj of Albania, who were both beaten by the suspended entrants in the quarter-finals, returned to contest the semi-final, with Ewald earning a spot in the gold-medal match.

The German faces Russia's Viktor Lebedev for the title, while Islamaj will take on Alexandru Chiroaca of Moldova for the bronze.
