Team GB win curling thriller against South Korea

Britain edge past South Korea

Great Britain's women's curling team have clinched their fourth win in six matches at the 2014 Winter Olympics with victory over South Korea.

Team GB registered a 10-8 victory over their Asian opponents at the Ice Cube Curling Center in Sochi on Saturday to retain their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Eve Muirhead's side struggled at the start of the contest and went down 2-0 in the first end, but recovered thereafter to build a 7-4 advantage.

The Koreans, though, stepped up their game and went 7-6 behind into the last two ends and then sneaked 8-7 ahead.

However, the British women staged a comeback of their own in the 10th and last end, securing a final stone and winning the match 10-8.

It is Team GB's third successive victory in the league phase and places them joint-second in the round-robin standings, with a clash against Switzerland to come later on Saturday.

In the two other games in the morning session, China edged past Sweden 7-6 and Canada got the better of Japan 8-6 to maintain their 100% record.
