David Murdoch: 'China defeat was bittersweet'

David Murdoch reflects on defeat to China in the men's curling event as feeling "bittersweet", as Great Britain still remain in the competition.

Great Britain's men's curling team skip David Murdoch has reflected on their "bittersweet" loss to China.

The 6-5 loss earlier today means that Team GB remain in the competition, but they must face Norway in a tie-break match in order to progress to the semi-final stage.

"We have bittersweet feelings," Murdoch told BBC Sport. "It was a chance to go over the finish line and we have had a few of those. We haven't got there yet but the good thing is we are still here in the competition.

"We play Norway in the play-off and we have got a good record against them. We have got to go out there and enjoy it - we are still in these Olympic Games."

The British women's team edged closer to the semi-final with victory over Russia in a tight contest this morning.
